Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and HavenKids. They cover what the service does, what it doesn't, and the honest limits on what any automated safety tool can promise. Please read them.

Who can use HavenKids

You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of the children whose profiles you create. By creating an account, you represent that you meet those conditions.

What the service does

HavenKids is a monitoring and alerting tool. We collect metadata from the parental-controls APIs of the platforms you connect (Roblox, Discord, YouTube, and similar), run it through an AI classifier tuned for child-safety patterns, and surface the results as alerts on a dashboard and (if you've opted in) via SMS and email.

What HavenKids is NOT

  • Not a replacement for parental supervision. HavenKids augments your attention; it does not substitute for it. No automated tool catches everything, and false negatives are possible.
  • Not a law-enforcement or reporting authority. If you believe your child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement (911 in the U.S.) or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children CyberTipline at 1-800-843-5678 or cybertipline.org.
  • Not a medical or mental-health service. We flag patterns that may warrant a conversation with your kid; we do not provide clinical advice.

Your account and use

  • Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information, including a working mobile number if you opt in to SMS alerts.
  • Use HavenKids only to monitor children you are the parent or legal guardian of. Do not use it to surveil other adults or unrelated minors.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or interfere with the service.

SMS and messaging

If you provide a mobile number and check the SMS consent box during signup, you agree to receive service messages from HavenKids at that number, including urgent safety alerts, weekly summary digests, and account-related notifications (like verification codes).

  • Message frequency varies based on detected activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any HavenKids message. Reply HELP for support. See the Privacy Policy for the full carrier-required SMS disclosures.

Pricing

HavenKids is currently free during private beta. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any paid plan takes effect. You are never automatically enrolled in a paid plan.

Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the service, or attempt to harm other users. On termination, your data is deleted per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

HavenKids is provided "as is." While we build it with care, we cannot guarantee that every safety-critical event on every connected platform will be detected, that alerts will always be delivered on time, or that the classifier will always reach the correct verdict. Use HavenKids as one signal in your overall parenting toolkit, not the only one.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HavenKids and Amanda Densler (sole proprietor) are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim (which is $0 during the free beta).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Brevard County, Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use HavenKids after a change means you accept the updated terms.
